This is my first case-mod project. ace_finland got me interested in modding and watercooling after seeing his projects so i decided to start something myself Bought the case about 2.5 years ago and really like the look of it so the plan is to keep as much as possible of the original look! Some of the work is done already but still working on the log. Case: Cooler Master Storm Enforcer Parts: Asus Maximus V Gene i5 3570K Kingston HyperX Genesis 4x4Gb 1600mhz Asus Radeon R9 290x, R9290X-4GD5 Corsair AX850 with Corsairs red sleeved cables A-Data SP900 256gb SSD WD Green 1Tb + 2Tb Watercooling: EK Blocks for mb, cpu and gpu: Supremacy Clean CSQ Acetal + Nickel EK-DDC 3.25 pump + X-top CSQ Alphacool NexXxoS XT45, 240 and 360 rads Phobya Balancer 250 black matt Mayhems Pastel Red 2x 120mm BitFenix Spectre Pro Led 3x 120mm BitFenix Spectre Pro Lamptron FC6 My first plan was to keep everything on the outside original but that didn't work because the 360 rad wouldn't fit inside the case. So started with stripping and cutting the case so everything would fit. (makita & dremel) Some fine sketching of the top rad mount and the MB tray extender & Hdd mount. Got the parts made from 1mm metalsheets. Cut them to the right lenght and fitted the rad. that's all for today
Cutted the top cover to fit the radiator and fitted it on top of the case Then made a cover for the front of the topcover. Made of 3mm acrylic and bent using a heatgun. Made my own radiator grille with some drilling and a figuresaw Not so bad but too much filing and sanding needed so had my friend ace_finland to mill me a new one Sketch And work done Front radiator and reservoir+pump fitted and holes for Hdd mount drilled Some paint and vinyl. Went with matte black and carbon fibre look. Next i'll start putting everything together again!
Well it's been a while since my last post. The computer is up and running! Don't know where most part of the pictures i've took has gone but here's atleast something. Pump & fan sleeving Installing the fancontroller didn't go as planned because of the Mb trayextender, had to remove one of the brackets on the Lamptron and make my own Here comes the part where my pictures has disappeared, next I started to install everything and planning the loop. Only pic I have from that is this one taken before the leaktest... Quite a special loop, I had not planned for the Mb block when I ordered my fittings so this was the only way I could get it to work. Leaktest And the water changed after no leaks was discovered! All put together and some fine wiring The sidepanel window cutted with Dremel Up an running! Still to do: Black screws for sidepanel window PSU Cover
