I have been looking and comparing all day in conenction to a GPU for my new build and finally pulled it down to two cards.

    MSI GeForce GTX 760 2GB vs MSI Radeon R9 280X Gaming 3GB

Both cards seem to have mixed reviews on what games they are good for and what FPS they can do it on. Also the GeForce come with WatchDogs for free

    Any comments would be great

imma big Nvidia fan thanks to their somewhat-better-and-more-stable drivers, so ill vote for the 760.

i never get good experience with ATI and their drivers...

i would go for the 280x as it has 3gb VRAM compared to the 2gb on the 760, with the games that are coming out now every gb counts

I'd vote for the 280X too.

Although, you can get used 7970s, which are the same as a 280X, for £100 to £120. That's where my money would go.

    I have 2 pcs, one with a 760 2gb and one with a 7970 3gb (same/ similar to the 280x.)

The 7970 is the better card in terms of performance.

Regarding driver stability.. lol.. theres no difference! !!

If they are both the same price, the 280X is a no-brainer.

The 770 is very marginally faster at stock, but once you begin factoring in manufacturer overclocks the water is muddied the the point that price/cooling configuration/aesthetics become the deciding factors.

The 760 is an upper mid-range card, the 280X and 770 are both last generations flagships with a marketable new name ;)
