    Hi All,

I am currently living in a university halls of residence and have an ethernet connection to my desktop PC, on which I am using VPN Unlimited. This VPN has a "Stop DNS Leak" setting which I feel is a good idea to use, however switching this on causes my computer to stop connecting to the internet. The Windows 7 Troubleshooter shows this solution to the problem:

If I leave the "Stop DNS Leak" enabled then the same thing will happen again. I know very little about networks, so if anyone could help me out in understanding what is going on here, I would appreciate it!

Interestingly, an online DNS leak test doesn't show my true IP so I'm guessing I don't really need to enable this feature, however I'm still very curious as to what is going on.

    Thanks,

    James
