Hi guys, im thinking of building another gaming rig as soon as i sell my motorbike, my last rig consisted of a 4790 cpu and crucial tracer memory, what is best nowadays or do i build around the same 4790 cpu, thanks guys
Unless you've still got your Haswell CPU & S1150 board, they're expensive to get used if available. Phinx has a dead Z97 board, and is looking at replacing it with Skylake/Kaby Lake due to availability on this thread. Although going from Z87/Z97 to Z170/Z270 won't net you a huge gain in horsepower, the on board 'toys' will be better, like improved M.2 support (faster PCI-E rather than SATA) and USB 3.1 etc.
