Gigabyte 990FX gaming just launched on AM3+ Now comes with both an M.2 connection and usb 3.1! http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5655#ov
Exactly what I was thinking. If somebody is already years deep into AMD it could refresh their system but apart from that I don't see the point of it. I'm no fan boy to any brand but it would seem Intel are leading the market atm in terms of gaming performance (excluding the AMD APU's which I think have their place).
the whole spec is a top flight board , M.2 , USB 3.1 , ALC 1150 sound killer nic , user upgradeable OP-AMP , a sort of best of the best AMD board (it supports everything AM3+ out of the box)
I like it and I think it's good Gigabyte are still doing this sort of thing, making an example of the best of the best for the platform. That said FX stuff doesn't do much for me!
