    Hi

I am having trouble killing certain processes. After they stop responding I have tried everything to get rid of them (close, end task, end process, PsKill). Only thing that works is restarting my PC (which sucks).

The main culprit is the Logitech Profiler.

Has anyone got any other ways to deal with this apart from restarting?

    Thanks

If they are starting when you switch the PC on then go to <Start> in blank box above the start logo type msconfig <enter>

That will give you a screen with a few tabs - one of which is startup - click on that and it will show all the programs that are starting behind your back. Untick the one you dont want then hit <Apply> You will be asked for a restart.

Tatic are you running as admin? Also are the processes running as system?
Whats the error message and what os?
You could also try looking for services running for logitech.

I want the programs running, it's just that when they crash, I want to close and restart them.

    Yes I am admin.

    This process
    [IMG]

It just says "(Not Responding)". Then after I try to end task and end process I get this message
[IMG] (Clicking end process does nothing).

    I am on Windows 7.

    No logitech services.

WinPatrol man, kill active tasks and stops them on startup. Also warns you when something tries to attach itself to startup.

EDIT: Read too quickly, didn't realise you wanted to keep these processes running.

I know you've tried PsKill, but try a proper task manager.
For best results, make sure it is in admin mode:
File > Show details for all processes
If it doesn't work, please attach a screenshot showing where it is in the list :)
