    Why is the name Battlefield?
I can't think of a game with cops and robbers with the name "Battlefield"...

Why not a new MOH... "MOH: Cops", or whatever...

Because battlefield is the franchise name. It's not going to sell as well without the franchise name.

Don't worry if you can't get in. Everyone will be beta testing this game 12 months after release!

I got in right away. I can tell you that the gameplay is exactly the same as BF4. It is literally a skin change. Ofcourse there are new modes more suitable for cops and robbers. But everything else is a carbon copy of BF4. The menus, the mechanics, the loading screens, the chat, the hud. It is just BF4.
I am kind of shocked that they are trying to get people to pay £50 to pre-order this. Honestly it is that similar that you could pass it off as DLC for BF4.

It is quite fun to play, but there is no way I would pay full price for this, even half price, having already bought BF4 and premium, I could not justify buying Hardline, that is how much like BF4 it is.

I am a big battlefield fan. I sunk 900+ hours into BF2 and 200+ hours into BC2 and I think I scratched 80 hours in BF3 which I played way past the enjoyment wearing off. BF4 beta just moved further away from what the franchise was about in my eyes. I'm a part of two "communities" which were BF oriented one has wholly moved on to other games, the other while still having a BF4 server has a few members which have skipped BF4 and it looks like the number that will avoid future titles may increase. I think EA/Dice have just chosen to take the easy cash catering to the gamers looking for COD like gratification.
