Hi all, I'm at Bristol Uni at the moment, and one of the societies is organising an event called "Jailbreak" whereupon you have to get as far as possible away from here in 36hrs for FREE. It starts on Nov 8th. I'm suspecting as soon as it starts, everyone's going to try to get to Bristol airport and give Ryanair the same story "every mile we go is £3". Therefore after the 2nd person turns up they're going to say "NO!". Last year rumour has it someone got to Arizona.... Sooo. The main rule is you're not allowed to spend any money on travel. However there's nothing against planning ahead. If we were to get to Stansted or Luton we might be able to try Ryanair or Easyjet there. How might people recommend getting to these places? Train travel is getting more difficult to go free (not that I do ) and I don't think they'd be allll too sympathetic. Hitchhiking that distance is gonna be tough! So yeah. Does anyone have any ideas? We go in pairs, and tbh if I don't get abroad I'd be VERY disappointed! Thanks! profqwerty (It's marked as Education as it's a Uni organised event )
Thats what i was thinking? i suppose if you got all the way to arizona then you'd have to explain how and im guessing it could be checked up. Swim to france even if somebody went further it wudnt be as impressive
People have made it to America a couple of times now I think, have no idea how though. It's something I'd like to do but I doubt I'd be overly successful for RAG purposes. Good luck with yours!

Have one of the kiwis post you a paper, then work out some elaborate tale as to how you got there. You'd of course come clean but it'd be funny for a few minutes.
Ok, just out of curiosity's sake if you do manage to talk someone from ryanair or where ever into giving you a free flight to the States or even further away, how the hell are you meant to get back ?
