Hi All, Just spent 2 days sorting out various issues with my Folders. Mostly to do with the HD7970s still having trouble with their drivers, and they are very susceptible to overheating. I've had to change the order of the cards to even out the temps. All below 75degC now Had to turn off another 660Ti Folder as it is getting warmer. I won't catch Scorpuk now as I've been gaining by ~100,000PPD recently and I've turned off 130,000PPD. Hoping to keep 4xHD7970s and the X5650s on all summer.
Not sure if it is something you have already, but consider getting some flexible PCI-E USB style risers. I had 1m cables and could have my cards almost anywhere. Can get them on eBay for pennies and will help with ventilation.
hi do they work wll enough the PCI-E USB adapter do you need a usb 3 cable or will a usb 2 cable work too just orderd 2 at 4.75 each
Hehe you passed me, couple of days ago and just the other day. I too am having problems with my folders. One of them just crashes with no desktop available. Might need a reinstall on that one. Unfortunately its me mums computer. Also been playing on my gaming rig so been turning off the folding to stop it crashing. Hey ho.
You don't have a separate gaming rig? I think we should start a new thread entitled "How many computers do you own?" I'll start; seventeen in a running condition and another ten that could run with a bit of work. This doesn't included the ten mobo/CPU/RAM combos on the selves that I never got round to selling. I think I might have a problem.
They use a PCI-E to USB3.0 adaptor, they only work with good USB3.0 Cables. No loss in performance with cards doing mining or folding as these have more than enough bandwidth.
Yep, I think you have a problem Maybe I have too(!) - I have 11: 4 full-time Folders, 1 general use, 1 gaming, 1 web-server, 1 test machine, 2 fully working but currently dormant, and 1 laptop. My old mobo/CPU/RAM units are used as "art" on the wall of my computer room
Unfortunately I don't have a separate gaming rig. While working away I use my laptop, but that's not the same as playing on a 27" monitor. I only got 4 machines folding.

Well, I've used ImageShack for hosting the odd image in the past - now they are charging (just like LogMeIn) ... what's the world coming too?!! What do you guys use for image hosting these days?
I love little devil's work, I was SO close to getting a single stage made by him about 6 or 7 years ago. He made a load of cases as well, which were really nice.
Oh how cool is that! (but bear in mind I'm not a good judge of "coolness") I'm going to have to copy you now
