GoW is designed for Console, it won't work right because all the anti console fanbois will hate it.

    Can you say "Vista Only"?

Would definitely mean I wont be buying it as I could get a 360 for that price...

Looks like I am actually going to have to invest in a 360 controller...

Turning Point: Fall of liberty looks interesting. Games(tm) had a good feeling about it anyway.

Same here, if Microsoft is calling Vista a gaming platform(which it does) they should make the OS scaled down and faster, leaving more resources for games, and sell it at a lower price, leaving more money for buying games.
But I think a scaled-down vista would bear a more than slight internal resemblance to XP... and that could cause problems.

    So, more "windows" gaming.
I see that XP is not an windows any more, as those "games for _windows_" won't work with it..
Oh well, any news on that DirectX10 port for XP :p ?

    ....who needs Crysis? :D

    jk... i know i do........ :D

Vista here... (which IMO; works faster than XP on some of the games i play)(like LOTRO and BF2/2142)(oooh go ahead, flame away), just another reason to get another 8800GTS to do SLI :D

    it'z all goood..... its *gooooood*....

I actually quite want to try playing GoW. It sounds good from what I've heard from my friends with 360s.

Oh and about the Piñata... they're all evil!

GOW is "Ok". The graphics looked nice, but artificial and the gameplay seemed almost "slow", but also realistic in speed. I almost got fed up with the "wall-sticking" because whenever I didn't want to, I would stick to the walls or whatever was next to me, and when I did need to "stick", I would also have to hit the button a good 2-3 times. Either way, I am not a console FPS guy, whatsoever so I have a bias against games like these in general, but I would still recommend you play this Joe. It's a good game, but it should still not be retailing for $50, for as old as it is. Hope that helps....

now when they say "games for windows" do they actually mean that or will it be "games for vista" ??

if its the latter, im not that interested, although gears of war looks pretty interesting, if it works on XP i might try it :)

Games for windows is a crap idea. If most the games got that way then I will be gaming more on console as I cant afford to by anew PC with Vista for a very long time. I want supreme Commander but not got Vista. :(
