I got a code from the marketplace for bioshock infinite and the amd never settle reloaded email came in this morning and it appears, I am downloading it even though it isn't realised until tuesday 26th March. Has anyone else had the same experience? Does the game actually work when downloaded or do you have to wait?
Yep - pre-loading means it'll be downloaded & installed ready for release date but won't unlock until then. I also received my xcom code & am downloading that too - both HUGE games (12GB for xcom and 15GB for Bioshock!)
'Fraid not - I'm glad that I got the code from GMG today though as weekends is 'off-peak' with my ISP (i.e. it doesn't count towards my monthly download limit )
A bit like the Skyrim Syndrome I guess You get it a few days early, and you can't play it until release-day
I had xcom on early download and it got to 99% then stopped. Midnight ticked over and the last 1% came down.
I have unlimited downloads so not too bad but I get almost double the download speed on sunday compared to the rest of the week
Which isp are you with? Ive got a unlimited downloads with Orange now EE but stuck with 5-6Mbps ADSL so with Infinite and the other 3 games from GMG ive got about 30+gig to download, going to be a while.
http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/03/27/bioshock-infinite-tweaks/ thought the above post might be of interest to some. It list some tweaks that may be of use; FoV, mouse sens, disabling intro vids etc... As soon as I get one of my GPU's back I will be downloading and giving it a try
BT and the package is unlimited up to 8mb (there is a one mile circle around us which fibre just doesn't reach ). The speed is usually about 4 or 4.5 mb/s but in the early hours of the morning particularly sunday as I mentioned, it fluctuates up to 6.5 or 7 mb/s. The same can be said for fluctuating downwards though as at 5-8 in the evening it is about 3 mb/s.
I'm pretty much convinced this is a decent game but I'm not sure what to get and where from. Is it worth getting the season pass with the day 1 dlc, that really does stick in my throat!
