I want to buy a water cooling kit, mostly because it's easier and was looking at the Kits from EKWB. Anyone have any opinions on them? http://www.ekwb.com/shop/kits-cases/kits.html?mode=list
On a generic level the fittings, rad and block are OK and good quality. The pump/reservoir is convenient but, depending on your tolerance to noise levels, you may find the pump noise irritating but it's still a decent (Jingway) version. I was able to undervolt my pump to 5v which reduced the noise levels substantially while still providing enough flow rate not to affect temperatures. There is a risk that you'll reduce the pump life by doing that. I've not used the EK fans but I'd guess they're probably based on Yate Loons so average. I reckon for the money it's a decent kit. Edit: just noticed that the pump supplied with the kits is the 2.2 rather than the 4.0 version so should be fairly quiet at 12v.
