Im pretty much sold on the shure se215, but there pretty pricey. Im coming from my atomic floyd ear buds from 2009 (yes they are that old) and have just died on me. They cost me £95 back in the day and have served me very well. Im not sure i want to spend that much again but im pretty taken by the shure se215, but cost £80 soundmagic e10s are a good option at £35 and its bigger brother E50s. Would the se215 be that much better than them? what other options should i take into account that iv missed to. (the word skullcandy is banned from this thread)
I bought the the Sony MDX- ER650AP for £59 recommended by what hifi best £60 i spent http://www.whathifi.com/sony/mdr-ex650ap/review
thanks for the recommendations. had a good look over my options over 2 days and decided to go with the Shure's from a authorized dealer.
Fantastic purchase you will be extremely happy, I would suggest when you get a spare £15-£20 invest in a replacement cable from china. it will break (sorry) but the phones will last forever else, its nice to have it as backup and not having to buy the £40 shure replacement I went through 10-15 pairs of £35-£50 in ears before i decided to just spend out and i wish i had done it sooner! Enjoy
yeah i see some nice ones for £8 with phone controls. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261908994045?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Just to say I've personally not had any issues with the cable for my pair of SE215s, then again I'm not shoving them into pockets etc.
just got my se215. blown away, even from my £95 buds from before. I can hear stuff in my music i didnt know was there! The bass is spot on, super tight. there not even burned in yet.
