Hi there, I've not been able to find any information to help on this subject and was hoping I could ask for some advice here. I'm lucky enough to spend my time working on a workstation with both a Telsa C1060 and a Quadro NVS290 card installed. Outside of work hours I've been leaving the GPU2 client running. However I can't seem to get the software to run on the Tesla card, which is an enormous shame. I've tried all the -gpu and -forcegpu settings I could find on the internet, to no avail. Thanks.
Never tried a tesla but I'll have a go. What version of the client are you using (console or systray)? What arguments/switches are you using? What errors are you getting?
You'll have to excuse me as I'm not on that machine right now, so as I recall. I have tried both systray and console versions. I believe it was the 6.23 GPU client, which I downloaded on the 27th May 09. Every time I run the console client it seems to automically default to the Quadro and the systray version refused to start claiming the device was incompatible. Sorry I can't be more specific. (I won't be able to get logs until Monday)
So I've got a little more information about the system now: OS: Win XP 5.2 (x64 SP2) RAM: 8GB CPU: Xeon T5400, 2GHz GPU 0: Quadro NVS290 GPU 1: Tesla C1060 Forceware: 6.14.11.8120 (26 Dec 2008) [Both cards are utilizing the same driver set] FAH Systray: 6.23 (26 Nov 2008) The nVidia control panel was set to enable PhsyX on the Tesla. I have disabled this and used the command line switches: -forcegpu nvidia_g80 -gpu 1. The log output is: [07:09:07] Loaded queue successfully. It's Windows XP x64 SP2. With PhysX enabled or not on either card, I still couldn't get it to run. However I messed with the settings for which adapters to extend my desktop to. After accidentally choosing to extend to the Tesla (d'oh) and locking up the machine, after the restart the previously mentioned settings worked (-force gpu nvidia_g80 -gpu 0). N.B. Don't try 'Display' from the systray client on a Tesla I might switch over to the console client if I can, because I didn't expect I could visualize the folding on the Tesla; although I'm a little affraid to touch anything! :S
