Windows GTA4 non GFWL?

I really want to go through GTA4 again but with the impending death of GFWL I don't want to start up my game only to get stopped once GFWL dies.

So has anyone used anything to prevent the use of GFWL? Any good or bad opinions with it?

I think I've seen Liveless(??) mentioned somewhere else but thought I'd ask here first.

XLiveLess will do the trick but you'll lose the multiplayer ability if that is a bother. It will also allow you to install mods.

 

Losing MP isn't a problem just want to play through the SP and dick about in the world. Thanks

 

The pending death of GFWL is going to hit my gaming quite hard as i play a fair amount of Battlestations Midway and Pacific...both are tied to GFWL

hopefully they get ported over to steamworks

 

GFWL is dead isn't it? Been playing DiRT 2 with no problems. I also never had a problem with GFWL on GTA4.

Think it just defaults into offline mode.
