This is my first worklog here on bit-tech, I'm from germany and I hope you have fun reading this worklog Normaly I'm a modder who want to do everything by his own but this time some part will be produced by CNC. The case i will mod is a Lian Li 70FB, my intention is to make a simple and elgant build complete in black & white. originally I dont want to change something on my actuell system by I couldnt resist to buy some new parts and we will see what else will come my current config: -Intel Core I7 920 Aquatuning Cuplex HD -EVGA Sli Le cooled by EK Wasserkühler -2x GTX 470 cooled by EK Wasserkühler -6 GB Corsair Dominator cooled by Mips Blocks - Laing DDC pump with Ek Top - Phobya 360er Radi with Phobya Nano-G 12 Silent - Phobya 240er Radi with Phobya Nano-G 12 Silent -Aquaero 4.0 -matt black bitspower fittings To do: -new Front and top design -Inlay windows -white powder coating outside -black powder coating inside -build a selfmade sLight -... Some pictures of parts I never want to buy but I couldnt resist as I saw them. Some pictures: a lot of boxes for a little bit of pump power ... put all of it together... New cpu waterblock... One of the new fans... here some pictures of my last two projects I'm still working on: 1. 2. http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr5/flix_album/P1010455.jpgA Big thanks to Ek, Coldzero and Enermax: [img]http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr5/flix_album/ekwb_logotip_a_pisala-1.jpg
Some more Pics for you The CPU Cooler: and here the "naked" Case: # I have to work faster, my actually Setup is really loud and the temps arent nice...
After a long time I want to continue... But I wasnt inactive, in the last winter I worked on a project which was part of an contest. with that case I won klick for some more pics But I dont write an update to tell you that i've won a contest. ^^ I want to show you the next steps on this project. In this Case should fit a 420er and an 280er radiator, so i have to do some changes on that case. At first some rivets must be removed and than I changed the profiles from the upper part. But I think pics say more than words I want to mount the Radiator without seeing some screws or rivets, so i have to make a extra mount for it. At last some pics showing the mounted radiator. I hope i can continue soon... And sry for my english...
I have some Updates for you, I hope you like it I have to customize the ODD Tray. Without doing that, the radiators wouldnt fit. without cuts: After a little Dremel session Does it fit into the case? it does! Than i had to addept the profiles for the 420 radiator: And again a picture with that part in the case
Its time for an update I've made the radiator mount in the front. At first i made some cuts on the case.. And than I've cut the fanbezel. After that, it goes on with the "tubing" in the Front. I want to seperate the radiators easily so i want to use some Bitspower parts to make it possible. It tooks a lot of time but now its nearly done Some Bitspower parts are still missing... I hope you like it
Nice Someone likes my project Today i have another update for you I've cut a small aluminium plate and glued it on the opticaldiksdrive bay (right name?^^) Afther that, i started to make a new mount for the power supply. Later i want to use a Lightbox/sLight as a midplate, but the original profile whre to high, so i have make two new ones. These are the original ones two new profiles than i adapt them lastly i make two sheets for the "walls" its done Now there is much more space for a Lightbox On Friday some new Bitspower parts arrived, so i want to use them the tubing in thi ODD-bay is nearly final bye
Small Update for you. For a cleaner Look I filled the holes in the ODD Bay. And I have to choos the way of mounting the pumps. Which one did you prefer?
Today I can proudly present you a sponsor for this project. Enermax will support this project with some fans and a power supply. The Fans arrieved today, they are so nice I will use 5x 140mm Cluster and one 120mm Cluster. Some pics of this beautis Included in Delivery are 4 screws, 4 shock-proof isolator-mounts and 3-pin zu 4-pin molex adaptor. The fanspeed can be regulated by4-Pin PWM mainboard fan control but i will use an Aquaero Now I have to finish this mod to use them. So here is the next Update: I've made a new cover for the power supply. fits very well, didnt it? After that I've done something I dont want to do ^^ But sometime I had to do that. I have drilled the holes for the acryl parts in the front part. It was noch easy but now everything can be mounted. All parts assambled: with all parts in it: Thank you Enermax.
Hey, yes, its a very nice case, LianLi builds the best cases Small update: Now I have nearly finished the drilling of holes and i'm very happy with that. That work sucks but it has to be done. Besides that, I have renewed the profiles for the motherboard tray. old one disassembled: And the new profiles mounted: To get a waterflow from reservoirs to the pumps I have drilled a new hole. After that, the construction has to be leak testet. I have to disamble everthing for three times because it was leaky but I hope now it is not leaking anymore. I will test it again when I have done the following part. At first I cutted some Plexi parts and want to drill some wholes in it... ... fail -.- At second attempt it works. Have a look how it will look with the pumps mounted. And agains some nice news Coldzero will sponsor me a lightbox. Thanks
Hey, its me again During the past two weeks I've made nearly every day some stuff on this mod. But it was'nt really appreciable but all in all the is an progress. At first you can see the mounting plate for the two D5 pumps. Besides that If mounted the waterblocks on the hardware and I got the nice Lightbox from Coldzero. Here you can see how the Lightbox works: The lower part comes glued together, in the middle of the Box there is a 10mm thick claer plate, which have an (engraved or lasered) checked pattern in it. Because of that the diffusion of the light is very nice. The top plate of the Lightbox isnt normal white plexi, it also diffuses the light, Here you have an small overview over the status quo. I hope you like it And again a big Thanks to my sponsors:
Becoming one of my favorites very quickly. Nothing revolutionary being done, but it's looking to be nicely executed. Great work mate.
Thank you, I try my best Today I continued the connection plate between the reservoirs, pumps, Grafikcards and CPU. At first I drawed the waterways on the top plate: After that, I marked the holes on the middle plate(8mm plexi): Drilled the holes and the first cuts: There is still one way missing, I've forgotten to take pictures of that. This part is already filed and I hope I can glue these parts together tomorrow. I think you can get how I will route the waterway and I think I can reach my ambition to get a watercooling setup without flexible tubes. Here again some pictures of it in the case. That it for the moment. Thanks for reading
