right, i need a new gfx card. i think a ti200 is a little too much to spend for me at the moment, i could afford but i'd have to wait until spring time ish and i want to buy right after xmas. so, im looking at no more than £140 ish i think it'll have to be a gf2 based card. Ive seen the Gainward GeForce2 Ti/450 TV Golden Sample 64MB DDR (AGP) - Retail - £116.21 inc vat but whats the difference between that and a Hercules 3D Prophet II Titanium £137.47 inc vat? ?? cheers
a shame u cant stretch to a Ti200 m8.....u sure u cant get £169 in time for xmas? Dabs do a Ti200 for £169 + delivery u know..... Of those two I would go for the Gainward, it will amost certainly overclock well in excess of GeForce 2 Ultra levels.....dont forget to add ramsinks though as the memory will get hot if you plan to overclock! Or you could perhaps buy a Leadtek 2 Ti, they clock very well indeed.........
Id go with the herc cause they are awesome cards, top quality (hence price), but the gainwood is cheaper and you're pretty much gurenteed an OC.
Found ya some prices Rich...... CCLcomputers.co.uk Leadtek Ti - £104 + delivery Hercules Ti - £110 + delivery Overclock.co.uk Leadtek Ti - £110 + delivery Dabs.com Elsa Ti - £112 + delivery Hercules Ti (OEM) - £113 + delivery The Overclocking Store Leadtek Ti - £124 My choice would be the Gainward (if u add ramsinks), though I can see if i can do ya a special price Rich
cheers for the repys lads, most helpful on overclock i only looked in the gainward section, stupid me
i think im gonna get the retail version of the Herc GF2 ti, as it looks the best one of the lot of the Ti cards to me
