Time for another build log; this time around another Parvum case. A while back (i50?!) A couple of us threw the idea around for an inverted ITX case with some more bang. I like the idea of the ITX form factor, still plenty of performance when running 1 GPU, but the small form factor cases on the market are a little lacking in terms of W/C compatibility.

The idea evolved from me and HackJoe talking about an FT03 style case with a slightly different layout allowing for the I/O cables to be better accounted for. The case can support 240mm in 30mm thickness and a 120mm on the top.

The parts used for the first iteration (air cooled due to time restrictions because of i52) of this build are as follows:-

    -Custom Parvum ITX case
    -Zotac Z68 ITX mobo
    -Intel i5 2500K
    -Asus R9 280X DU CII
    -Samsung F3 1TB
    -OCZ Vertex 60GB SSD
    -Silverstone Strider Gold 750W
    -Hyper-X 8GB Savage @ 1866

Please note, this is just temporary gear that does not do the case justice, it will be aircooled for i52 and watercooled with new mobo etc in, for i53 in winter.

Stage 1:- Unpacking and building the case

    Stage 2:- Starting the sleeving

Massive thank you to the continued support from 2 good friends, Justin and Shaun over at Parvum

Big thanks to Pascal at Aquatuning for sponsoring this build with watercooling components.

The box the case came in was a little wet when it arrived, thankfully, there was no damage to the case. Upon opening the box, I was greeted by a seriously epic colour combo, vanilla coke.

Starting to piece the case together. A lot of screwing and unscrewing to get some of the blanking panels in their rightful places...

The bottom panel, where all the I/O cables will be routed is super freaking neat. The very bottom has a nice clear sheet of acrylic so you can reach up and route the cables to their respective places.

The Zotac board installed on the lovely, thick and clear mobo tray.

    The SSD/ HDD rail installed

All the panels installed, it looks EPIC

    Thanks dude, much appreciated.

More pics will be uploaded tonight. Got a good start on the cabling and LEDs last night. Its just a shame I haven't got some nice Z97 gear to put in it yet!

Avidly waiting for updates, this is exactly what I am looking for, a Parvum ITX case with added watercooling possibilities
what is the space (depth) available for the 240 rad?
will it be possible a loop including the cpu, a 4790K and a Nvidia 670 GPU?
Hope the Parvum team will produce a similar case for customers, as i imagine that this is a custom fabrication

Sorry for the delay had a little bit of an issue at LAN with the ITX Mobo.

    Updates will be coming soon.

Not started W/Cing yet, but there is ample room up front for a 30mm thick 240 with standard fans and easy enough room up top for 30 maybe even a 45 in the top.

Will be slowly updating this... Some of these pics are from a couple of weeks ago (before LAN). Currently waiting on WC gear, planning on swapping GPU as its too big and wondering what the flip to do about getting a decent ITX mobo

Testing up some LED strips, in red this time.

Can you tell what I am going to do with these?

    ....

    any ideas?

    they work...

Will be powering them directly from the PSU with an 8 PIN CPU connector.

    Installed on the mobo tray...

    Loooovely...

    Nice, subtle underglow

Right, another little update. This time and of course, my favourite part; CABLES!

Red SATA cables in MDPC, for now. I have some some Vanilla sands in SATA size, which may look better. I will have a look soon.

Got some sleeve (again in red) on the power switch, with plenty of spare on the switch end for room to manage the cables

Got some LEDs wire up for the roof

Again, powered the LEDs from the spare 8 Pin CPU connector

    Looking snazzy

GPU is in, its a little big as it is non reference. I will look at getting something like a 280 (ref PCB) or a 760

    CPU cooler installed

I like the Noctua fans, I plan on using them for them for the rads too

24 pin sleeved - not the final sleeving pattern.

    Thanks for looking as always!

Looking good :thumb: I remember vanilla coke - awful stuff - but the case colouring you have employed is amazing. Are you going to have some coke symbols added to the case artwork?

    Cheers

I love Vanilla Coke, it was awesome, will have to get some for the final photos.

Not going to go to the extreme of any logos, bar the Parvum one.

Seems as though 'Vanilla Coke' has stuck now for the project name, I'm happy with that :)
