How can i know what program is using my hard drive?

    How can i know what program is using my hard drive at a the present time (when the hard drive light is blinking)? what software should i use to find out?

    I know it is a noob question but someone has to make it......:sigh:

    You'll love File Monitor.

    I used it as part of my security and programming work. Sysinternals (bought by MS in 07) has huge amount of extremely handy tools.

    Autoruns
    Access Enumerate
    Page Defragment
    Process Explorer
    Process Monitor
    Registry Monitor
    TCPview

    and lots more... all FREEEEeeeeeeeee :clap:
