Liking what I'm seeing here... Have the same board and was looking to w/c it so I watch you progress with keen interest. I've got a 2600K in mine, but it needs a ridiculous amount of VCore (up to 1.46!) to get to 4.2 Ghz. Might sell on and try another, but for the moment I've changed it to 4.2Ghz @ 1.42 and got a small 40mm fan on the heatpipe as they get ROASTING hot.

Just had my first crash after it running for 1.5 weeks folding SMP units, so it's looking quite stable enough for me...

Looking forward to seeing your progress. If the chipset and mosfet blocks don;t need too much modding, then I'll get the same. Need it to be compact as it's going in a recycled Shuttle case.

+1! Those heatsinks get damn hot don't they? Got a 40mm fan blowing on it for now, but I'll need to sort out some water-cooling when I bung it in my tiny scratch build. Had been looking at the Koolance VRM blocks myself - let us know if the blocks fit okay!

    REVIVAL B*TCHES!

Okay so this project took a big long break as my itx board died in a watery grave but I now have a new one and a bunch of pics of how it is sitting at the moment :D thought and opinions please!

all the water stuff that I have to fit in this case.

the board is running again! (bios problems)

my gpu waterblock is not looking too pretty and 4 of the bolts holding the acrylic in have seized so there is no chance of me opening the block to clean it. Even some of the nickel has come off and you can see the copper underneath!

And now for the juicy watercooling pr0n!

I wont be using the pcie extender in the build, was going to be used for something else so ignore it :p

The case actually has a fair amount of progress done to it aswell but will take some photos tomorrow after I finish sanding all my filler work!

    Thread Revival!

I know it has been a long time since anything has happened but the zotac board was not behaving and the bios could not decide what it wanted until a few days ago when I managed to reflash the bios and get it all working again which has kicked me back into gear on working on this build. Tomorrow before work I will work on the case itself a bit and may get a few photos for you guys :D

Have to fit all this into a tiny pc-q08

Trying to work out the best way for routing tubing and I came up with this.

note: I don't have the biggest budget that is why I have the random bulky 90 degree adapter and lots of 45 degree adapters as I got them all very cheap in comparison to other 90 degree rotaries which would be cleaner.

ninja edit: The tubing is old and am only using it to work out how much I will need, will most likely go with clear + mayhems pastel (the tubing was clear but turned pink with pink pastel from a previous build)

Well I managed to fit all the tubing and main components in the case, just missing hard drives and power cables!

I still have a fair bit of sanding and boging to do with the case before it is ready for paint but it is looking pretty good! I will be using white acrylic behind the cutouts on the front of the case with leds to illuminate the panel for a mad glow effect.

cobwebs (its been a while :D)

I want to find a better position for the pump, but I might need to add a 90degree fitting or 2 in.

clearance of the block to the psu (was accounted for!)

That's some tight tubing you got going there. You not going to use any clamps? Look forward to seeing what happens with that front panel :)
