In Canada and US it's 8$ per month.
Never heard of any hidden fees... never got them...
I doubt it will be any different where you are (beside the price and movie selection).

There are no hidden fees or minimum contracts for Netflix.
The UK selection is pretty poor compared to them over the pond.
Best thing to do with Netflix is to configure a US DNS to get their content.
I personally recommend US Unblock, quick simple and works.

With the £5.99 package you can only watch Netflix on 2 devices at the same time, you have to jump to £8.99 (I think) to watch it on 3 or more.

I've had it 2 maybe 3 months, it's okay I guess, new still hasn't been added that regularly and we got bored of the selection, but the kids are loving watching some of the older cartoons like X-Men, Winx Club etc.

I suggest you sign up, browse it using your free month and see whats what, the fees start getting taken from your bank a few days after your trial ends and then you're in for another month and this just carries on, but you're free to cancel at anytime.

My other half is obsessed with it, almost always has something on. There are loads of TV shows on it too, and documentaries and kids shows. A lot of friends with kids use it for the TV shows, no adverts and you can choose what shite they watch.

Its free for the first month anyway, so just try it. But use an unblocker.

I think the real benefit is the access to TV shows rather than anything else. I've been signed up for probably a year now, and I really rate it. Much better than Lovefilm, and the film selection IS improving all the time.

Anyone know of a good way to get US content on the PS3 or AppleTV?

I use Netflix on my PS3 mainly, so that doesn't help me :(

Firewall at work blocks this so will look at home.

US Unblock, it can be set to different regions pretty easily too, for UK, US, Canada etc.

I use a VPN myself, but I use that for other stuff as well, otherwise I'd just change DNS servers instead.

Netflix is wonderful. It's relatively cheap, and the selection is actually pretty decent. No, some of the new video releases aren't on there (yet). No, the selection may not be that great depending on the type of movies you want to watch or your geographical location (though there are ways to work around the latter restriction). However, I've found that there are a lot of hidden gems in the Netflix trove if you know what to look for. There is a decent selection of documentaries and obscure horror movies that are well worth viewing. If you have children (or if you're a closet cartoon junkie like me), Netflix has a very good collection.

And no, there are no hidden fees or anything like that. What you sign up for is what you pay; that's it.

I looked at Netflix and lovefilm don't think my internet is up to it silverlight was all stuttery.

The blu ray rips I have that are around 2gbs are far superior in quality and much more enjoyable to watch.

In the UK, none of those.
You may want to look at "now TV entertainment" from sky. It's £4.99 (at the moment), you get live TV (Sky one, Atlantic, discovery, Fox & 6 others you won't care about) and catch up for some programs (inc walking dead)

That looks to press the right buttons for me. £9.99 for the box (I'm sure I could wangle it free) and £4.99 per month for pretty much the only channels I watch anyway. Thanks for the heads up :thumb:

edit: I've just read it's an app on PS3. Every day is an education. Huh, it should also be on my LG TV, too, apparently!

    YIFY...

Netflix does tend to alternate between crappy 720p and 480p for me unfortunately.
