Can someone please tell me how the PPD scores and the actual points awarded are calculated?

I have a machine that is quoting 9k PPD. Yet is is doing a single project that gives aroun 1800 points at it is supposed to finish in 18 hours. So I dont see where the 9k figure comes from?

This is just an example. This machine should give around 8-9k PPD but I only get around 3k points awarded every day.

And it does complete all the projects. No early failures or anything like that.

    Any ideas?

Perhaps you should read the Folding FAQ it will explain everything.

Basically those figures assume that you have a passkey, that you have completed ten work units and that you have at least a 80% return rate. Then you qualify for the Quick Return Bonus. This is a multiplier to the base points depending on how quickly you return a WU.
