I currently have a pc attached to my TV via VGA cable. I'm not using the TV as a monitor all the time just switching back and forth. The problem I'm having is that when I change to TV and back to monitor again the resolution has changed and I have to right click> Screen resolution>Detect. to get it back to what it should be. The computer is an Asus AMD Zacate board running windows 7. I will one day get around to using the HDMI socket on the board to connect to the TV but will that fix this issue?
You can try this or use what I use at uni http://rapidshare.com/files/2589731526/reschange_312.zip With ResChnage you just set up a shortcut with triggers that you want. Then click the shortcut anytime you want to use it.
