Hi Folks Can anyone recommend me a decent RDP Client Application for the iPad? I am looking for performance over functions, I have a keyboard so on screen keyboard is not needed. Thanks
Does rdp mean remote desktop something (a guess)?. If so splashtop works really well for me. It even works with windows 8, and has wake on lan.
I have used a few, however found "PocketCloud" to be the best of the bunch. The free version allows you to save 1 rdp connection, and is set at 1024x768. The paid version gives you extra resolutions and unlimited saved connections iirc. Also has VNC support.
I use LogMeIn to view my server desktop (and various other customer PC's) remotely from my iPad App is free, and LogMeIn is either free, or a small charge for extra features (which is dont think you will use from an iPad, such as remote print and file transfer)
irdesktop for ipad (was free when i got it) excellent simple rdp app. others that are handy are: logmein ignition mocha vnc lite
at my last job we rolled out some ipads and decided on 2x client for the rdp client of choice. Mostly because the client is free. However RDP is less than ideal on an ipad.
I use Logmein for when am using 3G and use "jump" when in the house, this can probably be used on 3g but logmein works just fine
