Guys, one of my pst files cannot be used - it says that it hit its maximum capacity etc
It has 2GB but this is Outlook 2007, so it can be bigger, I have other pst file that have 5-9GB.

I tried scanpst, tried this pst trim software that cut off 50MB from the end of the file - nothing worked.

    I need those emails.

What else can I do to get it to work?

Is it connected to an exchange account? Or POP/IMAP?

From personal experience I'd steer away from large PST files, asking for trouble. Sometime people have huge PST files and it works fine and others struggle so my advice is always try to stay under the 2GB mark if you can just as a safe play.

    nope.

Need to try it, I thought in Office 2007 as default is more than 2GB..

Problem is all users in my office have at least 3 pst files 7-10GB each...
Imagine splitting those to 2GB files....

is there any other way to store those files?

Lol unfortunately I have to imagine as a routinely have this to sort as part of my day job :p

I usually set things up in pst's say per year or per 6 month and educate user on managing it themselves. Painful process but usually means only a limited number of visits to that customer

I do per year, only split inbox and sends.
    Still loads of pst files.
Thats why I hate like people generate meanningless emails simply by replying "ok" instead ofvsay to a person that sits 2 meters away...
Or replying forwarding same 10MB attachment...
    Users never gonna learn...
