Can't flash BIOS on Asus Maximus 1V Gene Z
Hi there peeps.
I have just bought an Intel 3570K.
My Z68 mobo supports it but requires a BIOS flash to do so.
I downloaded the latest 03 bios from the Asus website.
Put it on a FAT 32 formatted USB 2 stick.
Connected said stick to ROG connect USB slot.
Booted into EZ Flash.
Attempted to flash and it says 'Image Integrity Check Failed'

I tried an earlier BIOS, same thing.
Do I need to rename it to something specific for the BIOS to recognise it?

I tried naming it M4GZG3 as someone online has suggested but the same thing.
I amanged to 'downflash' the BIOS successfully using the MOBO support CD but it still won't read the new ones.
And I need it to, otherwise, no Ivybridge!!
Desperate for some pearls of wisdom.

mikemaher205 has yet to learn the way of the Dremel
I assume you un-zipped the file you downloaded and put just the ROM onto the memory stick. If you put it into a normal USB slot on the MB, the EZ Flash Tool should pick it up.

If all else fails, get the BIOS Flash Utility and use that... The instructions are in your manual I believe... Hope I helped.

Yes I unzipped the ROM file and tried it with its original name and the renamed one I mentioned.
The BIOS can see it on the stick but the imahe integrity message comes up after you say yes to the 'write the file? Question.

Maybe use another memory stick, see if that works. Also, you can find the ROM file on your hard drive (where ever you downloaded it too) if you're prepared to go through the file structure on the EZ Flash tool. Takes some time but means no moving files around onto USB sticks.

I have tried a few different USB sticks and downloaded it from my laptop, so no need to go browsing.
