Calling all mountain bikers I posted in the "We love to ride bicycles" thread about this giveaway, and there was a few people who were interested, so here goes. You can win a pair of Hope Hubs, these hubs are standard MTB quick release which cannot be adapted to accept other axles like their newer Pro II. So what do you have to do? All I'm asking is that: 1. You are an active member of the community, 2. You are UK based, unless you are prepared to pay the postage to your country 3. You will use these in some way (build a pair of wheels or modern art), 4. You need to post a picture of your bike(s), something like this below, or a pic of you out and about, 5. I'll pick a winner 1/3/2014,
So did I on one of my earlier attempts at the stair gap..... overshot the second tranny, landed on the flat and...... BUCKAROO!!! Only dented my pride. So as you do, I jumped back on my steed and nailed it on the second attempt!
I love the idea, but I'd not be able to use hubs at the moment and with my photograhy being SO pro I didn't want to win without being able to. I'm afraid my MTB is due to budget sitting firmly in the V-brake section. Once the weather improves I want to try and do some more photography of my bike, so I would be up for this going forwards, especially for: Headset SS Crankset Tyres 26" or 700c 1/8 chain Pedals Griptape Bidons (almost wrote Bidet... that would be interesting) Obviously most of these are far too good to do a prize draw for....
I will get a picture of my bike up tomorow. Not sure if you remember but you gave me some good advice on the forum. I have had to do a few little bits to get it up to scratch such as replacing the brake pads and tuning the front dereailer.
I used to love gaps on my BMX. Nothing like launching from a 9ft wall down to the pavement Used to end up with flat spots on my rims something rotten though !
Shame there's not been more entries on here. I have nothing much to contribute after winning last time Cookie monster held a similar competition, but I wish all those who enter good luck. Also much thanks to Cookie Monster for being so damn awesome!
