Im currently upgrading to a couple of EVGA 670s with the full cover blocks, now due to the questionable design of the EK blocks I require a EK-FC Bridge. Now I've never had to use one before and am therefore a tad uncertain which to go for. My board is a Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P (pictured below) Now I think I need a 3- slot bridge like this one on Scan rather than this 2 slot one Am I correct or completely wrong?
I'd agree on a 3 slot bridge, mate. The EK link blocks sit on top of the block - that's going to add 20mm or so to the length of the SLI bridge, so the longer bridge looks like the one. Add to the fact your PCI-E x16s are three slots apart.
Thanks guys, now I just need them to release the plexi bridge/link. according to a post on the EK facebook page on the 19th "Acrylic CSQ bridges should be available this week in dual and dual 3-slot. Triple bridges one week later" No sign of them yet...
As an alternative. Bitspower have just released these adjustable dual link adapters although you'd need to order from them or the US.
