Hey everyone for my next desk build I like to use a fillport to go trough a MDF plate to an other section of the desk. But I really have no idea what the maximum spacing is between each connection. I'm thinking of using this fillport but I'm open to suggestions: http://highflow.nl/reservoirs/fillports/bitspower-2xg1-4-fillport-matt-black-bp-mbwp-c04.html ~Bladesingerz
It depends how thick the MDF will be. Bitspower do make bulkhead fittings which are a bit longer but I can't find them at the moment on the Bitspower site but they're similar in length to these
those from Alphacool look really long, they might work i think. I'm currently using 18mm mdf but I think I might switch to 9mm, I might go smaller if I can...
Found the Bitspower ones, thread length is 15mm but you'd need a bit of that to screw the locking ring on. Edit: These have a thread length of 20mm but the finish is horrible. I might still have a couple that I never used once I saw them although I might have given them away already.
Looks like its just a little to short! I could use 6mm mdf or make one of the sides thinner.. One of the sides will always remain hidden so won't matter if its a little ugly. I dislike the looks on that second fillport..
Alphacool generally make decent gear, so I wouldn't worry about that. Can't you just counterbore the underside of the fillport hole in the desk to accommodate the thread depth of a fillport?
Yeah I could just counter drill it, I'll buy my parts before I start work on the desk this time. Do you guys think the colours of Alphacool will match the bitspowers? So Chrome vs Silver shining vs
