Admission of Windows Store's failings? http://www.bit-tech.net/news/gaming/2016/08/11/microsoft-quantum-break-steam/1
Excellent news! I was contemplating buying it but Windows Store put me off! Does this mean it'll get SLI support as well?
What's going to be interesting is if they distribute as a UWP program (despite protestations to the contrary from the peanut gallery, UWP is NOT locked to the Windows Store) or as a traditional Win32 installation.
My other wonder is if the Steam release will also be DX12 only. It would be quite the turn around if the Steam release is compatible with 7/8, unlikely as that may be.
Although it's not set in stone the Steam page does say Windows 7 upwards and DX11, Remedy's page for it also says DX11.
would be good as well, though MS is quite aggressive nowadays and really focuses on trying to compete, would be awesome if Satya Nadella was at the helm 10 years ago
Steam is the way and the Light, through which wisdom of every command shall be tested! Glory unto Steam and the Prophet Newell!
