I haven't owned one for years but now with HTC Vive I can plug in headphones. I'm also setting up Voice Attack for Elite Dangerous.

Are there any recommendations for headsets?

Hyper X cloud or QPAD 90s. By far the best headsets around IMHO.

Seconded. Hyper X have better bass in my view. Hyper X also have better warranty support after 12 months.

I'll add another vote for the Hyper X headset, it's a great bit of kit and they've got one of the best support teams I've had experience with.
