So after 10 years of building computers I am delving into the business world. My company is called JAllen Labs. We build workstations for creative professionals. I am super excited as we have built our first workstation and it is blazing fast. So fast in fact, I want one for myself! Anyway, I am trying to get our first 3D lab sold as I write this. Wish me luck!
Thanks man. So far so good. If I get into the colleges around here I will have a great base. They want the workstation to have what "they" want at the right price. I can do that with same day, local service most of the time. Next stop, the web.
Eek! I have just started my own as well (2 months and counting). Being my own boss is grand and all but the employee is turning up to work in pjs all the time. Christ.
Website is up and running! My website is up and we are in business. Check us out at www.jallenlabs.com.
People who say this annoy me everything's hard to start in business i have found out thanks to people like you. You just discourage people. Good on you for taking the initiative to start a business OP, all the bet to you.
Nice job dude, I just had a peek at the website and it looks awesome. Good luck with your new business, I really hope everything goes well!
Not bad. I need to do some web design for the family buisness. Given that we don't have a website yet..
Think you took that a bit touchy mate chill out It is a hard business to be in no doubt but by your site it looks great! really proffesional! im sure you're going to do great!
Probably. Just fed up with negative attitudes from the people around me, that was the sort of thing those people would say... EDIT- Just had a look through the pics of the PC and noticed the USB cable in the plastic conduit, perhaps something nicer? Also one of the pics shows the bottom with a couple of fans missing, maybe silly but if people aren't that comp literate they may take as being unfinished/dodgey cost cutting design even though you and I know it's not... Just somethings throwing out there...
Maestro have you considered seeing if you can stock Quadro cards? I know quite a few people that'd pay for Quadro cards.
Good luck mate I hope youdo great. I've always wanted to start my own business but after lots of planning just never had the guts to do it. If you don't mind me asking did you start your business with a fair amount of cash saved?
I considered quadro cards but they are older tech and more expensive for the performance. When the new ones come out we will stock em. So far it's cost me a few thousand US so far. Thanks for the support!
I've been in business longer than you've been alive It is hard at the start now I buy houses cash, And I wasn't trying to dicourage him Oh @ the OP nice website.
The missing fans are for replacing the 120mm if you use longer GPUs. The case comes with the USB 3.0 and yeah it should be braided cuz the cables are blue!
Good website and best of luck with the company As an FYI, when I press Terms of Use at the bottom I get the following 'lorem ipsum' text pop up:
Hi, Nice website looking good. Thought i'd point out a typo, on the storage button/link from the homepage you said terabites. I think what you been is terabytes.
