We're in the Trent valley here, there was a river there yesterday I'm sure of it.

How're things where there people are?

Note this was taken a couple of hours ago, it's altogether worse now but I'm timelapsing with the camera at the moment.

    Some others from this area

I'm sure many places are a lot worse than here. Don't take any risks folks.

Currently clear here in London, but looks set for a downpour most of the weekend.

I live in a lower ground floor flat, so if you don't hear from me after tomorrow, send help :S

Davetry's wet, but not flooded. We're built reasonably high up on a set of hills, however, so it's unlikely we'll be flooded. Not sure about Northampton, however.

Not a drop of rain in our part of Cornwall yet, I believe rain is going to circle down to us tonight and sit over the county all of Saturday.

Hope your place doesn't get any damage from the weather.

It's raining a little here just outside Newcastle, nothing as bad as last Friday though, that was just crazy.

Clear and sunny in Chichester, but that's sure to change over the weekend.

Sun's come out now but there's more on the way, at least that's how the clouds look. The timelapse turned out rather shite sadly but hey, gotta try it.

We're not in any danger, first floor flat and a canal for it to get past first but thanks for the comments :)

For reference here's the first pic with the telegraph pole an hour later

Not everyone was annoyed by the rain though :)

Just started to rain near Gwithian, so I guess the cat's staying in tonight. Going to Truro tomorrow, think it should have passed by midday.

After the first flooding here in Darwen, Lancashire lifted some of the roads and manholes up. During the second floods yesterday it was discovered that some of the foundations of some of the commercial business premises where washed away during the first flood (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lancashire-18735154). At least second time round sandbags had been provided to those who need them, for scum to then steal the sandbags from outside vulnerable properties.

However I'm lucky to live on a hill and the house is five steps above the road plus the cellar always floods first.

I work as a greenkeeper in Nottingham and for the last two years my greens have all died off by august so I convinced the club to pay for a borehole. Cost them about 6k. Hasn't stopped raining since, and the greens were under 4inches Of water yesterday. Can't help but think all this rain is my fault!

Oh the joys of living on top of a hill.

Oh the horror when I realise work it at the bottom of the hill.

My favourite fact about the book is how, according to Wikipedia, it is based on Twilight fanfiction. Oh wow.

I already knew all of this, and yet; the more I read of this book, the more it falls even further off the bottom end of my respect scale. I would regard even the original Twilight as better than that garbage.
