Windows Windows 7 home to pro

    I have a retail cxopy of Win7 home on my main pc. I have a copy of win 7 pro retail available and would like to upgrade but can't be arsed to reinstall everything. Can I just upgrade by changing the product key ?

    Yeah pretty much. It installs some extra gubbins which is available in Pro but not Home Premium. Here's a handy guide just in case.

    It will then treat my old Win7 home install as unused and able to use it on another pc ?

    Yeah, you'll then be able to use the key on a different system.
