    Hey bit-tech

Finally upgraded my GPU and picked up a nice 2GB MSI Frozr GTX560ti on the weekend.

So ive connected it up to my 3DTV and got it all working, got Dirt3 working in 3D but dont think much off it,

So I was wondering if anyone could recommend me some games the look really good when played in 3D

    thanks

I loved tomb raid underworld in 3D, especially the parts where you're diving underwater. Really makes good use of the 3D effect.

What TV is it you're using out of interest?

Left 4 Dead 2 looks amazing. It was a surprise to me because it doesn't have Nvidia "3d certified" but rather "excellent". The game just looks great in 3d.

Fallout 3 looks good but you have to turn off the in game target reticule and activate the Nvidia one.

Battlefield 3 actually looks very good if you can work with the drop in brightness. The single player in particular looks stunning in 3d and it really makes it look and feel more real.

Far Cry 2 looks very good in 3d.

Half Life 2 = disappointment. It had problems.

thanks feather, will look into them over the coming week or two, i dont really trust the list on nvidias website, they could list any game just to try and get a product to sell.

i got left for dead 1 so might try that tomorrow

I don't own L4D1 but hopefully that should play the same.

L4D2 looks so good I don't want to stop playing. Switch to 2d and the game looks flat and unreal.

Don't even get me started on HD 3d porn.

Yes, fortunately some of my 3d porn is lesbian.

    Some but not all.

    :)

Let me know when u try L4D1 or 2.

Reading your initial post... Dirt 3... I seem to remember that being rated as "poor" by Nvidia? Dirt 2 was "good" if memory serves.

haven't had a chance tonight to play some games :(

I found with dirt 3 there was alot of graphical glitches, some of the glitches can be removed by turning certain graphics setting off like shadows e.t.c. but that would just ruin the game IMO

we could take some 3D screen shots for the 3d vision photo viewer and upload them somewhere, think ill have a go tomorrow if i get time

How are you outputting it as 3D?

I've just gotten a 3D TV but haven't hooked it up yet - waiting on video card with HDMI.

I went into the nVidia 3D wizard setup but it only has options for nVidia adaptors.

    Cheers.

First of all go here and check that you have a supported 3DTV and nvidia graphics card

once you have connected them together you will need to buy and download/install the nvidia 3DTV Play software

Once that is done, just make sure that 3D is enabled within the driver and run the setup wizard

I noticed the 3d vision pyramid transmitter has a little jack socket and cable for connecting to some 3d TV's... I don't have 3d TV. Using LG 3d monitor.

Would love a 3d TV as well.

I bought left4dead 2 today and just been playing it in 3D, It looks stunning in 3D, love the blood splatters on the screen. it looks especially good when your walking through a really dark smokey room and a zombie comes running towards you from nowhere.

    top notch

also tried need for speed: hot pursuit (remake) looks terrible, the onscreen nvidia vision text said not recommended

Can u believe I have never played L4D2 online?

Did you know Duke Nukem forever is 3d certified. Nearly bought it on steam when it was cut down to £3.74 but I think that's too high a price given the negative reviews.

    :)

lol £3.74 too high? i thought duke nukem was a great game myself, i played to older duke nukems when i was younger but wasn't a hardcore fan

Might give DNF a go next week maybe, got too many games to play at the moment and not enough time. thinking about booking a week off work and hibernating in my room for a week :p

Never played L4D online myself either, not a fan of online games

Maybe I will buy DNF when it comes around again at that price.

Crysis 2 works well in 3d what with it being all certified.

I never used to be a fan of online games, what I mean is I used to favour offline ones but I guess that started to change when CSS came. I wouldn't like to be one of those people (and I know a few) who ONLY play online. They really miss out.
