I am trying to take a picture of my led keyboard but it doesn't look anything like it does on the screen of the camera, any tips?

It'll be the white balance of the camera that's being thrown off by the colour of the LEDs on your keyboard - try fiddling with the white balance settings until it looks right.

Auto White Balance usually do a good job. Try Daylight.

You might need to also increase exposure length/time if you're not getting enough light.

Unless it's LED light in the blue spectrum because that nukes camera sensors.

Could you post one of your current pictures; it'll help us to give better advice.

Personally I'd try getting in close, taking a shot diagonally across the keys so you can see the colours but the LED light isn't shining directly into the camera.

It's that or try a shorter exposure and increase the light levels in the room to compensate. If you have a daylight bulb, get that in on the action.

The light's not bad, but maybe the LED's are upsetting your autofocus?
