    Hey,

So building a new rig, still watercooling even though its just a 13L Metis. I just tested everything to make sure the board it powers up and I have come across a slight issue. The pass-though connector that runs for the power supply does not want to fit any more. I appear to have put a radiator in the way. :)

So does anyone have any ideas? Would ideally like to keep a connector there, thinking something like a right angle pass through but I cant seem to find anything, that would fit given the 21mm of clearance. I might just end up running a cable directly to the power supply.

I was going to suggest you just get a right angled kettle lead and connect it direct, if the kettle plug will go through the hole great, if it won't just cut the moulded 3 pin plug off and fit a new one.

Scrub that, how are your soldering skills?

That looks almost exactly what I'm after.

If I could find one with spade connectors then that would be perfect as I am not sure I would trust my soldering. I guess the search term I was looking for was IEC.

I guess one of these would do the job. http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/iec-connectors/2615856/

Is there space to cut a new hole for it above the existing one so that it clears the rad?

It would interfere with the next radiator i'm going to install above it. :)

    Went for one of these.

Very nice, that came out really well. A smart looking compact beastie in the making.
