    Hello Guys,
I need some help. I am wanting to make a catalog of of a couple of directories of videos that are stored on my fileservers, so that the users see a list of videos, and can just click a title and have it play, instead of having to search through several directories and play the videos with VLC.

The servers are Windows 2000 and Fedora Core 6, with Windows, Mac OS 9, and Linux clients.

Any suggestions on how to do this?

Note: I thought of using html, and just setting the path to "file:////10.1.0.1/media/movies/filename", but I would have to edit the page manually each time a video is added, and I would prefer not to do this each time.

Another Note: Using MediaPortal (Windows) is not possible, because most of the client computers aren't powerful enough to run it.

    Thanks,
    Will

why not write a diectory scanner that searches the shares then creates shortcuts to the files in a logical manner

would only take a developer half a day to write
you could then schedule it to run whenever
