"so it might be that the problem is related to the fact that NVIDIA's driver support dual core, whilst ATI's don't"
ehh? why do you need dual core cpu support in a graphics driver - surely this is just the windows driver update for dual core? |

Nvidia's drivers do clever things with dual core chips to increase performance. ATI's just treat them as a single core, IIRC.

ATI's drivers don't utilise the second core to improve performance at the moment, whereas NVIDIA's can use the second core for vertex processing to help improve performance.

by the way, I can't remember whether I said during the article... I'm really sorry that I didn't have anything slower than an X2 3800+ available for the mainstream hardware. The normal FX-57 @ 3700+ is elsewhere on review duties at the mo'.

*runs scared* :P (blackphoenix lvl13 Brute)
It's actually a pretty good game imo, though does remind me in alot of ways of the matrix online but the good thing is that its one of those games you can pickup any time you like and just enjoy it for a few mins. Its challenging enough and the bit I like the most is the fact that you fight more than one person/creature at a time unlike most MMO's where is just 1 single creature or you all die. My sentances probably dont make much sense but im tired. |
