Motors Ford Escort radio code - how do i enter it?

    hey

    ended up taking my stereo out to see that the wiring harnesses weren't plugged in. have now done that and it now turns on asking me for a code.

    I have the radio code (dealer supplied it to mE) but I have no idea how to enter it. Don't have the instruction book for the radio, and the one for the car says look in the radio instruction book.

    Anyone know? It's a '95 escort encore 1.3.

    how about calling the dealer who supplied the code

    for the 1st digit press preset one repeatedly till the digit shows, repeat for the other 3 with presets 2,3&4 , once the code is displayed on the screen press 5

    hey presto code entered

    btw get it wrong and the unit will lock down for a period of time, 10 times and it has to go to an engineer to be reset
