lol a $14,000 premod. Seems a little excessive for a computer...

All of the pre-mod crap aside, if I had the money and was looking to build a lan room it would be Voodoo all the way!

But not in that gold outfit!

Well I guess that explains the pricetag that I couldn't explain in the other post. BTW, the link is broken from the article.

Still, I don't see it costing more than two grand tops to gold-plate the thing. Yay for moneywasting. It's kind of them to have not even attached the front USB/FW connections, as well.

Stupidest idea ever. Gold, when you get down to it, is a tacky substance when spent on every day commodities that should be understated. Large chunks of Gold slathered onto every day items only serves to cheapen them.

Tacky as hell... I personally hate bling. Now if it had been a Zalman heatsink-case it might have been justifiable as well as cool, but for that it just looks silly.

Is it just me or would gold actually make a better heat conductor (than steel\alum\plexi) as well? Maybe its not all about the bling.......screw that, who am I kidding? Think, for the less than that you could probably pay a real enthusiast to do you a custom job to fit in a stuffed badger...at least you'd have something unique. Gold in my opinion is just another colour, metallic yellow, in fact. No one goes mad over red/blue chrome? Well, maybe a bit.

to be honest i dont like the look of it. gold looks tacky to me and i would much preffer brushed alu or black alu. looks more stylish

that looks like its just been made by sum1 with no sense of style/aesthetics and far too much money
