XFX Geforce 7900GT 256MB Basic model Partcode: PV-T71G-UDFR

    Defaults are 470 / 685

The core over clock was a little disappointing, but the memory just kept on going up to settle at 1930 without any errors in 3DMark05 / 06

These results are not really really trying, but I was trying quite hard. (I can run my chip quicker than that, that is the quiet overclock)

Monster clock on the memory. I am bit weary of xfx as they speed bin them, thus the xxx edition, xxxx extreme blah blah and the rest, so I avoid as they already know what they can do, saying that I await my 7900gt xfx 520/1500 model, yeah I know, but it was a good price, cheaper than a stock 7900gt and around 70 cheaper than the same card elsewhere. Not anti xfx at all, had an 6800 xfx clocked like a trouper, until it developed the dodgy sensor problem

Interesting, memory clock is pretty awsome, guessing you've got 1.1ns ram on that card (can you check?)
Core wise, if you're willing to vmod you should get more from the core, the GTX's have been hitting around the 700mhz mark, and the GT's use the same core...

I think I posted rubbish TBH, I not sure the memory is sticking at all now. I can reboot with those settings but I don't think it's really at that speed.

    Sorry Guys :worried:

I'm benching as we speak, got just over 20K in 3DMark 03 already :D

can't you just use coolbits and overclock using the standard method?

I 100% sure I can exceed the 822 mem which coolbits allow's and powerstip is a little hit and miss if it takes, added to that, 3DMark does not show up the core or the mem, so It's hard to tell.

If anyone has any ideas except the final score, which I'm working on now, let me know :)

Again, sorry to mislead, it was not my intention at all :)

Can't you check with the Coolbits registy hack with forceware (google it)?

EDIT: I just saw your other thread... Also where did you get this card for ~£200?

hello mate, very impressed with your overclock there. i have manged to get my core stable at 572 on air, but i have a watercooling kit to put in soon so will push that higher a bit later. im running at 1600mem at the moment, and looking at your impressive mem overclock im gonna push for more. the reason 3dmark05/06 doesnt read the mem or core speeds is because until today futuremark had no suport for the 7900 series. that has been rectified now and u can publish your scores.

    Here is 06

    Here is 05

I cannot upload my 03 for whatever reason ATM.

Nice core speed you have there, if I go much above 535 core my 3DMark score drops off, but it will still run ok.

I really don't know much about 3DMark, but it still seems that it cannot read mine or your Mem or GPU speed, or am I missing something? Anyone please feel free to add any ideas as to why this happens.

I am looking forward to seeing the reported speeds as I can run 3DMark @ 965 mem although it does not seem to make much difference to the final score compared to around 900, so I can only guess it's not sticking, it's odd that at 970 I get break up so it really is as if the mem failed at that speed.

could just be around 900 is the point at which extra memory bandwidth doesn't help in that particular test. Everything I understand about graphics cards points to core clock being more important usually anyhow.
