OK, perhaps you could get one of these in for review as a comparison?

http://216.127.51.88/monitors/athens/features/index.htm

Then when you are done, they probably won't want it back, so you could just pop it in the post to me?

@ Logical: Those monitors don't exist. the company went bust although for some reason they kept their site running.

If SLI can already support three monitors though DVI then what is the actual benefit of this? Especially if it doesn't work with xfire. The only use I can see is for professionals who want larger desktop space (eg. for image editing) when they only have one gfx card. If I ever get xfire or SLI I'm just likly to play in the three monitors to the gfx cards directly.

Although it's an option i can't see how this product is designed for it. Surely it's purpose is for people that carry a laptop about but want multiple monitors for work.

being super picky here, is it me or do the oblivion gates in your screens have some seriously weird diagonal artifacting?

Very nice, just like the two monitor option. Too bad that it, just like the two monitor option, only supports identical monitors (resolution wise). So I can't use my old 17" LCD with my new 20" LCD..

I'll assume that frame from Oblivion is the only one produced in a minute, at that resolution.

As to the SLi comment towards the end - have nVidia finally changed their drivers so you can properly mix SLi and multiple displays? Last I knew, you still had to software-disable SLi mode to have more than one display socket put out anything, and I'd assumed there'd have been a decent commotion if that was finally fixed.

Still, very cool idea, but I'll stick with my 2405fpw/2005fpw combo. It's nice to have the game running on the big screen with all my perfmons and FAQs open on the other I pwn alt-tab. I definately need a 7900gt now seeing how most games hold up in 1920x1200 - even CSS/HL2 can get a bit choppy from time to time, and I'm barely able to squeeze 1680x1050 out of my 6800gt in Oblivion with almost all the eye candy turned off.

I'm waiting for the 6x24" model. 360-degree FOV completely surrounding your head. Could make for a pretty awkward desk.

I have the best idea ever.

Use three displays. Connect them up via vga to the triplehead 2 go, and then connect the dvi inputs to the regular inputs. Use as normal displays thru dvi when working with windows, and switch over to the vga triplehead when gaming. win-win!

Yeh i was going to say, as far as i know SLI doesnt support more then a single moniter

you have to disable SLI (reverting to multiple GFX cards) to get up to 4 displays

The three screens equate to one display (as far as the NVIDIA driver is concerned) with the Triplehead2Go

This is my thinking. SLI = lots of monitors anyway, what's the point of this? If it had come out when SLI was still limited to 1 monitor (whatever happened with that, anyway?) it would have sold like hotcakes, though.

I didn't know they had, but then I've been out of the ultra-high end GFX scene for a few months now and might've missed it. The article would seem to suggest it's been fixed, though...

"If you're running SLI in your machine, you can already connect up three monitors digitally and arrange them using the NVIDIA desktop tool, so you're going to be getting better image quality without having to stump up for an extra box."

Isn't it slightly annoying having to look at you health all the way in the bottom-left corner of the left screen and your ammo all the way in the bottom-right corner of the right screen?

I think you should have some actual 'value' points to your review rather than just 'ooh that looks nice' points. Let's have some average number of kills in CSS with and without 3 screens.
