BTopenworld to limit ADSL speed for "heavy users"

Here's an interesting article about ADSL...

http://www.web-user.co.uk/news/lates...,80529,00.html

It was only a matter of time... Bloody BT!!!
I don't share files but it's the principle...

Muahahahahahahahahahahahah........

Its limited for all ADSL users btw Not that I care I cant even get ADSL in my area!!

Why you would sign up to BT Shiteworld anyway is anyones guess, there are so many different and better providers like Demon etc.

oh, I thought there was another slowdown... the P2P thing has been throttled for a while. It seems to have eased recently though...

There's a tool called 'bouncer' at www.r00t3d.org.uk that will get rid of this terible bottleneck for you.

It tunnels Morpheus through a webcache (which they just cant limit) as SSL traffic, et voila, full speed again.

Traffic management isn't much fun, they even limit the amount of data you can download now.

Virgin (yeah the cola people!) who bought out NTL and Telewest haven't done much of a better job either, their customer service is rubbish but they do offer 100 mb/s would you believe?

Lord Flash you should definitely see about getting an upgrade, can it play crysis?

You should get an Z77 board and an Intel 3.4 Ghz quad core 3570K. Your Geforce MX won't run on that board tho so you might have to get a GTX 670 as well and you'll need some RAM too, you might as well get 16 GB for future proofing, bit of an upgrade from 128 MB.
