hi .. been a while since i "tried" make something "extra". so this is what happend .. was talking to some guys and they asked me why dont you make a sweclockers case and the idea started spinning .. talked to the "boss" of sweclockers and he thought it would be damn cool .. so it started .. first i needed an idea .. what is a guy that usually spend hes "life" on a forum talking in threads, spend all hes money on hardware, loves hes computer more then hes mother, eats ddr for breakfast and hdds for lunch and speaks 1 and 0 .. well with that in the head the idea of a guy that is one with hes computer came up .. the only think that i didnt liek is that "dolls" has been used before but not this way .. first i want to thank some companies for providing the hardware for this case.. Point Of View for 7900gtx graphics datorbutiken.com for the stuff around it .. like fans etc (small things you need) AMD for the cpu Abit for the motherboard overclockers.se for the memories creative for the x-fi card Hiper for the Power PSU Western Digital for the harddrive without theese peoples this wouldnt have been done .. well to buiss .. found this torso on a swedish auction site ..the bad thing is that its thin thin plastic.. this is what i needed to do .. i wanted a fully upgraded computer stuck in to the "doll" the doll is to small to fit it in .. but that needed to be solved .. i started to make it stronger .. layer after layer of fiberglass now it needed to wait a wile .. needed to dry up in turn for next round .. after first work is done making it stronger and more steady it looks like this. now its time for "DR" GoTaLL" to use the fine operation tools .. .. so if anyone know anyone that needs some kind of "fat reducing" im all ears this is kinda hard to saw thru actually .. he looks like hes kinda empty .. well this is how it looks .. some aluminium.. some aluminium and plastic padding.. starts up with some alu on the throeat and chest after a wile and 1kg plastic padding....
well this is how it looks .. needs hell of alot afterwork but .. i got time bought a aspire X-Qpack just for the motherboard tray. new some needed stuff and a halfnaked q-pack the viktim .. dont know if it looks much for the world but just wait.. the hole under is made ok this i could get the motherboard in without cutting anymore but i want to be sure i can get everything in and if i want to upgrade i want to be sure i can later .. so bigger hole.. and its cut.. some more the underpart of the q-pack ok the q-pack is splitted to 50% of its height cause i dont want it to stick out more then nessecary this part will be put to place with plastic padding. why i choosed this case is cause tyou can slide the motherboard plate + backplate easy out of it. plasticpadding time sides are open but putting paper there and then plastic padding some more aluminium on the shoulder kinda hard to see but it looks "nice" some work been done and time to process with a second layer much job to be done but im getting there
its all about plastic padding now .. ok need more plastic padding .. im heading over to the mystery plasticpadding man.. ok put some more paper under it to get a "even" edge .. some more padding where i missed before.. after a couple of hours its time for more work with the sandpaper.. the thing that keeps popping up in my head is "wtf have you started" but hopefully it will be god in the end .. ok i have doing so the motherboard goues in .. but u think i need to get a psu in too.. hdd and maybe a cd too...so back to the "state of mind" .. ooh i think i need a fan too.. aluminium to play with ok have been drawin "aprox" what should be used.. well lines aint straight and not suppose to be .. ok the underpart .. needs to fin some holes, edges and stuff that dont look ok .. have been using a file to get the edges done so i can fit in a psu of regular size maybe looks wierd but its suppose too .. its not done .. .. started tyo make a hole in the side for a 120mm fan .. not done just needs to be done so i can get back to the plastic padding part.. ok need more padding ... shopping time .. and right now it looks like that ..
ok some aluminium work to be done .. well i think i need something to keep the psu in place cause i dont gonna keep the doll like this .. this part gonna be used where the 120mm fan will be seated.. soon to come.. ok some might remember the alumnium plate with not so straight lines .. shall be fixed a bit but here it is .. the line where the q-pack ends.. right now no beuty but hopefully it will be looks like a 3 year old done it but will be ok .. a psu is taken apart as a template and "cables be gone" picasso?? after some file work.. not that cute now .. and now the response soon come .. but how will he get the cables in if he has it standing
Looking godd so far, nice sponsors.. Do you have any sketches, or will you keep it in secret? Keep up the good work!
sorry i usually just go after an idea i got and keep that track .. some stuff i need to shetch but not very often .. ok making that square part i showed before . the one for the 120mm fan .. this will make the 120mm fan be put flat to the "case.. ok the cd part .. im planning that for the back of the "dude" its no use tro see it actually just that its there if needed do the back will be fine.. it fits but some fixing to do .. put some paper in between and on with some padding without making the cd get stuck.. after some time .. some filing and filling allmost done .. not done but allmost some more detailwork on this one later and it will be great.. ok next step .. the "dude" looks kinda cutoff .. no head, no arms, no lowerpart of the body .. and i got a "foam" head that i have used to spray on , cut pieces of etc .. so its kinda flat .. but mightbe usefull as a "template" ok on with some choko pudding.. eeh padding but this was a diffrent color.. buildon on the nose cause it was kinda flat.. a bit worried cause the material of the head might melt when the padding ets on it.. but it worked.. the problem is that its kinda stuffed and i want a empty head.. making a bigger hole the "foam" reacts with spraypaint, gasoline etc so just start spraying.. after a couple of hours you can see what happends.. im getting on with filing on the head .. and some places its a bith thin but that i will solve later.. more padding and then wait.. after some more filing i noticed i still have at least 2 spots that are a bit thin .. but thoose might work anyway.. still a long way to go but getting there
very interesting case, i want to see how it ends up. by the way, how did u get all those amazingly good sponsors?
Im "working" as an custom engraver on my spare time and traveling to events engraving cases and all kind of stuff they bring for the vistors, showing works i done and that way companies gets kinda intressted in what I do.. ok the inside of the head is gone , had to stand over night but its all gone now.. the head is kinda edgy etc and some points are leaf thin so needs to be more padding on it.. at this point you could think he will have horns ... was in my junk room and found this .. some work on it and it should be done .. well the head would be nice with lightup eyes .. but no dont like putting leds in the head like that .. but something can be made.. not that sweet but will be .. and there its done .. the thing i filed on is done and its in the head .. .. but what did i make.. for now it looks like this .. needed to try it to see if it worked.. now i can check the temp in the head.. i think its better then a led in the eye.. and the head is alot to do on right now .. here im getting it done to put a hdd in the head.. will be holes on each side on the head to be able to screw the hdd in place. as you seen there are some "small" things that isnt right on the head .. to that i will use spray filler to even it up a bit.. this fills the smalest holes and it doesnt matter if its not really good put on .. cause its easy to use sandpaper on later ..
was fooling around with some ideas about the face how to make it even cuter. went to the local "army" junk store found one of theese that s to keep the shape of the shoes .. kinda broken but only need this part file some on the inside.. strap it over the mouth and lots of filler.. put teh head steady on place and lots of padding rough work and some cables in the back of the head.. aluminium frame done .. frame put to placebut not done lots to be done really lots to be done ..
Is this torso a 1:1 model?!? I was thinking of making something like this already, but i'm not quite sure, if a torso is big enough for all the hardware.
yes its a 1:1 modell .. but they are diffrent sizes anyhow .. this one is kinda thing at the waste from the start
have put some extra cables to the "mouth" and spray filled it ..lots of it . .. alumnium .. 5 of theese distances should be made .. shall be filled .. sprayfillling shall be done in layer after layer .. lots and lots of it.. and lots more and when it starts dripping im done .. after a wile woth a varmer its tsarting to be ok its still not smooth and it shouldnt be but im working to get the surface i want ok shall be painted .. need to clean up my airbrushes that havent been used for a wile.. bought some paint.. and yet some to come..
small update.. he looked kind of dirty so he needed a bath all he is aprox just "head and shoulders" so what can fit better trying out some colors so we will se how it will end.. layer after layer inside of the head should be wet red .. not done by far .. only a start some parts are still edgy so some work to get back to lots and lots of work to be done .. no detailwork done what so ever but we will get to that..
Exactly what I said @ Sweclocker.se But they all laught at me and called me idiot and then banned me Naw just kidding, sweclockers rocks, but not as much Bit-Tech does
