Wow pretty hardcore, I just make the minimum requirements. Lets face it when a manufacturer tells you the minimum they really do mean the MINIMUM! Time for an upgrade I think!

Considering the game is 6+ months away, plenty of time for prices to tumble

I'm below the recommended specs in a couple of areas. Not by much though (7800 GT, 1GB RAM, A64 3700+). I'll probably upgrade in a couple of months.

For the first time ever my PC has been beaten by the minimum requirements. Like, FEAR came close, but this has butchered my PC. Mine would crash during the installer if I tried to play this game. Good thing I'm doing a full overhaul in January, then I can play!

I don't think we can call this quite "official" as of yet. From what I've heard, Crysis-Online is a Crytek Endorsed Fansite. And the post was a "educated guess" from an admin on that site. Ie. Not from a Crysis developer.

Looks like the website is down due to traffic, which would go in line with the idea that it's a fansite.

Doesn't mean the specs aren't accurate though. Only time will tell

Wow is this the first game that recommends Dual core? This should be optimized hard core for multi threading.

I'd imagine that the second core would be used for the physics processing, for the fancy effects seen in the videos.

Apart from my video card, my PC is just over the recommended spec. However, i'd imagine that 2Gb ram/X2 3800/whatever the top gfx card is at the time will play it fine & dandy.

wow, its kinda depressing when the minimum requirments for a game reads like the spec for your best rig (sig rig in my case).

Hoping it'll work on the slight overclocked 2.13Ghz Pentium M I'm using for a media/gaming machine... The rest of the specs are alright - although the 7900 GPU is close.

Got to think though in a living room gaming environment, the screen is only 1280x768 (or 1280x800, I forget)... So it's not to harsh on the GPU anyway.

No, the specs don't suprise me at all. In fact I don't even bother looking at today's bleeding edge games as their specs have always been miles above the level of my 4.5 year old AthlonXP 1900 and GF4. Still can't wait for the game to arrive though!

The physics engine is done using one of the two CPU cores, I'd reckon
