2. What about games like morrowind and oblivion that take 500hrs odd to play trough (some very very funny parts in morrowind, I'm sure the raters missed out on, sex slaves anyone?)

this is very lame, pointless and slow, just make the game producers make a sumary of everything and a possible rating of the game and then ESRB can rate it, it is more eficient and its faster, if the game is another rating then change it at the expense of the game makers, or better yeat, each game company has a person responsible for the rating, if the rating is wrong then the fine should go to the company that maked the game.

Congress can bite me...
But of course we all know that the combination of "violence and cleavage" is destroying the world, the American way of life, first it was the communists and their violent commie video games and now its the TERRORISTS.... god bless America and aging senators with no knowledge of electronic or video entertainment in general... saving our way of life, one piece of pointless legislation at a time.....

Be glad the government is doing stupid and useless things. They do less damage that way.

Will never fly. They have absolutely no case concerning why the change is needed since the ESRB has moved EXTREMELY fast in the rare occurances that they need to change ratings.
The problem right now is that almost nobody pays attention to the ratings (which ALREADY INCLUDE the content that earned it that ratings). It isn't the fault of the ESRB that parents are too lazy to bother reading the box before buying or renting the game.

Well this would only apply within the US, It would need to pass Congress, The Senate(No senate version = No bill to be signed into law) and then be signed into law by the President of the United States of America.

But It's only 3 out of about 490 congressional representatives, Lets see If It has any real legs.
