he story focuses around 15-year-old Jimmy Hopkins, who has landed in the boarding school Bullworth Academy. You guide Jimmy through an emotionally difficult and poigniant time in his life filled with valuable lessons and....oh, who am I kidding. Little Jimmy beats the crap out of people for fun and profit. A lot. Sometimes with baseball bats, and even a bag of marbles.
Well seems someone else has got the Daily Mail idea about this title. Apparently YOU are getting bullied, and you have to fight back with pranks and stuff. It's actually anti bullying not a simulator.

I would hope that this game gets a whole mountain of complaints from parents/polititians/idiots within 30 seconds of being releaced. Just so rockstar can laugh them out of court!!

I suspect that Rockstar could releace a game with a universal rating and advertise it as a game all about murdering and subsiquently eating victims in a primary school but when played the game is simply a bunny rabbit sim hospital game.. However, i recon, people would still attack the game on the day of releace because they havn't even played it!!! Farking polititions!

Yeah ! Going to kick some innocent 7 graders !
(I'm not sure about the grade, because the french school system names them differently)
I don't think there is any Hot-coffee in this game though.

Darkedge, I understand what you're trying to say, but let's please remember who is releasing this game...I'll stand by my belief that it will be a "kick the crap out of this kid for hitting you" game, with occasional fun hijinks mixed in. Anti-bullying doesn't involve a baseball bat and bag of marbles If I'm wrong, I'll happily admit it later!

Da Dego - this the same people who released Table Tennis... so it's going to be a tight insightful sport sim then by your logic.
Just tired of the slag off before really much info has been released and plowing into the vidoegames are bad mmkay mindset - please Bit-tech leave that to the Hate Mail and similar.

Rockstar did say some time ago that the game wouldn't be PRO-bullying, and that there was some kind of moral thread running throughout the game and that it has a moral ending.

Quite frankly I believe too many be are assuming that this game is gunna just be about BEING a bully and beating people up.

Got an e-mail from Rockstar this morning:

The Rockstar tradition of groundbreaking, original gameplay and humorous
tongue-in-cheek storytelling invades an entirely new setting: the schoolyard.

As a mischievous schoolboy, you’ll stand up to bullies, get picked on by teachers, play pranks, win or lose the girl, and ultimately learn to navigate the obstacles of the worst school around, Bullworth Academy - a corrupt and crumbling prep school with an uptight facade.

The story follows Jimmy Hopkins, a teenager who’s been expelled from every school he’s ever attended. Left to fend for himself after his mother abandons him at Bullworth to go on her fifth honeymoon, Jimmy has a whole year at Bullworth ahead of him, working his way up the social ladder of this demented institution of supposed learning, standing up for what he thinks is right and taking on the liars, cheats and snobs who are the most popular members of the student body and faculty. If Jimmy can survive the school year and outsmart his rivals, he could rule the school.

Ready yourself for a hilarious return to campus living with Bully, the outrageously funny debut title from Rockstar Vancouver, available exclusively for PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system this October.

Visit www.rockstargames.com/bully to view today’s world premiere of the first Bully trailer. The official splash also features a selection of new screenshots, game news, Bully desktops, and pre-order options.

Stay tuned for the full official site launch, happening very soon.
Nothing about a PC release though...

*concedes that his initial opinions of the game may be lacking due to the trailer...

I'll still have to see where the game leads upon release, as trailers can pretty up almost anything - but as it stands I owe darkedge an apology
