love the auto theme actually pulled off. you see a lot of mods that try for a car-themed look but fall WAY short. love this mod too - the orange looks hot!

Heh, orange and blue, the 2 colours I've used in my PC's for ages saying to the g/f that it may be the next big thing and considering the recent trends of featured mods containing vivid oranges on some level I think I may have been right for once.
Its a nice mod but the thing that puts me off slightly is the fact that its actually a gloss finish. I personally think it would have looked better matte but hey, thats down to personal preference.
Nice usage of expanding foam though

I need more details on how he did those leds on the saitek keyboard! I love my keyboard, but i do wish it had dark green leds rather than blue... To go with my razer copperhead and green cold cathodes in my case....

A fantastic mod!

The bondo work on the scoop is very nice and displays talent and dedication!

Heyya,
I'm new to this whole modding thing. Just been checking it out over the last few days so I don't really know much but that is an awesome looking case!
Love the white leds, really finish it off nicely.

I have a question too:
How does that filter attachment work? Looks like its attached to the case window, but then you wouldn't be able to open the case surely...
Can you explain please?

Orange owns...

Agree on the glossy comment, I would have used matte but then I suppose it wouldn't look like body work.

Love the top and side panels, no so fussed on the front.

Great modding, cpu fan shroud is genius.

1st off, thank you everyone for the kind words and very supportive comments, I cannot thank you enough how much it means to have other modders take a liking to all (or parts) of my mod. That is flattering with a capital "F"! I would not have gotten to this point without places like this, and the resourcefulness of the modding community. You guys always finding difffernet way of doing something are what is inspiring to me, I hope that in some way, I feed the inspiration pool for the next group of mods coming out.

The LED's are surface mount devices that are suspect to all of the usuall LED laws regarding current/resistors... it's just that they are on a much smalled scale, and the LED's and Resistors are much smaller! I'll look up the LED's that I used, as there are 2 predominant sizes that are used. For changing over to a green like your copperhead, you may find surface mount LED's lack color choices, and your green will be a difficult one to locate. Note what the current/voltages are for the green, and then use a multimeter on the lines to see if you need to change the resistor values too.

(grin) There is *not* a case window. It is open air. The air filter would have been flush with the bottom of the window, or (more likely) pushing against it... so, I'm driving with the "windos down!"

As for the glossy/matte finishes... keep your eyes peeled for one of my next mods I have cued up...

Thanks again everyone! And thank you BitTech (WilHarris... you ROCK! Sorry we could not get our paths to cross while over...) for giving the creative throngs of the computer crazy a place to hook up and exchange ideas.

See everyone later!

Very nice clean mod!

Congrats!

Just one thing, you could paint the stripes on the "air intake" and top panel.

Yeah, I did think about that, but getting the stripe the same width as the front panel made it look odd on the top going over the scoop. So, I opted to leave it be.
