ugh they always bring out an uber cooler after i buy my GFX cards

oh well, the x1900xt isn't THAT bad in my experience ... perhaps ATI could sell some of these coolers to those that cant afford another £400 for the latest card <_<

The new cooling solution is fantastic and I'm seriously considering getting hold of one of these babies for my own system. Now if only I could sneak one out of the office door. Hmm....
You could claim further testing or something

I was quite aware of this when I got my XTX. Terrible noise, but the low price I got mine at was too good of a deal.

Perhaps when they introduce mastercard/dongle-less Crossfire and DX10, I'll consider uprading again.

What a bloody good review, Tim, you've outdone yourself dude

Anyway, it'll be intresting to see if people who know are prepared to buy a card purely on faster memory basis, and the ring bus thang. Personally I'd be dubious, but the benchies are very intresting.

Overall, should anyone be buying extremely expensive cards with Vista around the corner? Personally I don't spend more then £200 on a graphics card, but with DX10 coming I'd be especially wary of buying anything expensive.

Oh 1 suggestion about your reviews, it would be nice at the end to give a short (like 1 paragraph) summery of the benchmarks, sure your review is thorough, but i'm not interested enough to read 12 pages of benchmarks, I'm sure lots of people will be, but i think that some people wont want to read it all

Not at the higher screen resolutions it doesnt.

Still a great card though! Fab review... very concise, well written, and a great help if you're in the market for a new card. The kind of review that makes you proud to be part of bit-tech.

Looking at X1950XTX images I understood the truth behind "internet is for porn" statement.
